Your Privacy Matters

WABC respects the privacy of our members and visitors to our Websites. We collect and store only the personally identifiable information that members and visitors voluntarily and knowingly provide.


Your Agreement

By using and accessing our Websites, you’re agreeing to this Privacy Policy, our Terms and Conditions of Use, our Security Policy, our Terms of Membership, our Use of WABC Credentials Policy, our Credential Verification Policy, our Copyright Policy, our Trademarks Use Policy, our Accessibility Policy, and our Other Terms, Policies and Guidelines. If you do not agree with all our terms, conditions, policies and guidelines, or any posted amendments to our terms, conditions, policies, and guidelines, you may not use or access our Websites.

WABC Coaches Inc. (hereafter called “WABC”) reserves the right to change these terms, conditions, policies and guidelines at any time, and solely at its discretion. If possible, we will provide advance notice of significant changes. However, it is your responsibility to check these terms, conditions, policies and guidelines regularly. Your continued use of our Websites after we have made changes signifies that you accept the changes, whether or not you have actually reviewed them.

Scope of Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to your use of any and all of the Websites, now, previously and/or to be owned or operated by WABC, its subsidiaries and/or affiliated companies (collectively referred to in our Terms and Conditions of Use as the “Websites”).

When You Browse Our Site–Anonymous

When you browse our Websites, WABC does not collect your personal information. We collect only aggregate data, such as the number of hits per page. We use this aggregate data to generate statistical reports for our marketing purposes.

When Visitors Subscribe–Limited Personal Information

Visitors to our Websites may choose to subscribe to our non-member communications and publications. Your name, email address and country will be registered with our database. You have the option to discontinue receiving our emails at any time.

When You Enroll in a WABC Accredited® Program

If you are a participant in a WABC Accredited® program, the provider supplies WABC with a list including limited personal information about you as follows: your name, email address, phone number, city, state/province, country. The list also includes their recommendation about the appropriate level of individual membership for you and your status in their program (e.g., when you started it, completed it). These lists will be retained in our database into perpetuity given these programs are related to WABC’s credentials (RCC, CBC, CMBC® and ChBC®). These lists are only used by WABC and will not be shared with any third-parties for any reason. Of course, if you browse our Websites, subscribe to WABC’s communications and publications, become a WABC member or participate in WABC polls and surveys, then your information may be used in other ways and with your permission (please see the related sections above and below).

When You Apply For Membership–Moderate Personal Information

When you apply for WABC membership, we gather personal and demographic information through an application process. Some information will be optional and some will be mandatory. If you are accepted as a member, your name, email address and/or phone number, city, state/province, country, membership level and credentials information (refers to third-party credentials (your academic degrees and professional designations) verified by WABC via our credential verification service may be used in WABC directories (WABC Business Coach Locator and Verify a Credential/Member). Your name, email address and/or phone number, city, state/province, country and membership level may also be forwarded to other members who wish to connect with members in their area, and/or to WABC representatives conducting outreach. Additionally, we may use demographic information in aggregate form (without revealing any personally identifying information, including references from clients, coachees or training participants) to generate statistical reports for various purposes. These purposes include setting professional, practice and other types of standards; developing products and services; and marketing. For clarity, the demographic questions are identified throughout our applications. All other information remains strictly confidential. Any other WABC use of your information requires your permission. If you’re not accepted as a member, we will destroy your application.

When You Participate in Polls and Surveys–Varying Degrees of Personal Information

When you decide to participate in our polls and surveys, you may be asked to give an email address. Any information we gather through these polls and surveys is for WABC use only, and may or may not be distributed. Before you participate, we will tell you the purpose of the poll or survey and how we will use the information.

We may also ask WABC members to participate in surveys designed to gather relevant personal information about members to help us better meet their needs and wants.

We often conduct polls and surveys using various third-party online software.  These software solutions will be operated and hosted in various locations around the world. If you are concerned about where the information you provide is being transferred to, ensure you familiarize yourself with the online software before participating in the poll or survey. By using our Websites, you consent to this transfer.

Updating and retention of Your Information

WABC Members

If you are a current WABC member, you may access, review and manage much of your information from your dashboard at any time. You may also ask us to update or correct your information. We will make the updates or corrections to the extent possible within the limitations of our databases and servers.

If you are a former WABC member, you may contact WABC to review, update or correct your information or have it removed* and your email notifications discontinued. Where possible, we will make the updates or corrections to the extent possible within the limitations of our databases and servers.

*We cannot remove you from our database under certain circumstances (see “WABC Credential Holders” below and our Terms of Membership).

WABC Credential Holders

If you hold now, or held in the past, a WABC credential (or legacy credential), your information remains on permanent file regardless of your membership status or standing. For more details, refer to our Use of WABC Credentials Policy. Also see “WABC Members” section above.

WABC Accredited® Program Providers

If your program holds now, or held in the past, a WABC Accredited mark, your information remains on permanent file regardless of your status or standing. 

If you are a current WABC Accredited program provider, you may access, review and manage much of your information from your dashboard at any time. You may also ask us to update or correct your information. We will make the updates or corrections to the extent possible within the limitations of our databases and servers.

If you were formally involved in the WABC program accreditation process and wish to inquire about your information on file, or wish to have email notifications discontinued, please contact WABC.

Visitors

If you are a visitor, you may also contact WABC to review, update or correct your information or have it removed and your email notifications discontinued. Where possible, we will make the updates or corrections to the extent possible within the limitations of our databases and servers.

Release, Rental or Sale of Member or Visitor Identifying Information

WABC does not release, rent or sell member-identifying information to third parties for any reason, except in cases where members have opted to have their information listed on public viewing pages of our Websites, or have opted to be contacted by third parties. We do not permit any part of our online directories or email distribution lists to be reproduced or used for any reason by anyone. However, it is not possible to stop the reproduction of information contained in the public viewing pages of our Websites, and we do not attempt to do so.

Our Use of IP Addresses and Cookies

As a general policy, we do not track IP addresses. However, there may be times when we need such information to detect and correct server problems or unlawful activity against wabccoaches.com. WABC uses cookies only to facilitate automated activity, to store and track passwords and to review navigation patterns. We do not use cookies to disseminate significant information about users over the Internet or to analyze any information that users have knowingly or unknowingly provided. You may instruct your Internet browser to opt out of accepting cookies, but you may not have access to the full benefits of the Websites. Additionally, when you visit our Websites, you will be presented with a General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliant cookie banner which will enable you to adjust your settings.

We link to external sites as a service to our members and visitors, and these sites are not under our control. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices or security measures of these linked sites. Nor does the provision of a link constitute our endorsement of the information, products or services contained on the external site.

Your Comments and Feedback to Us

Any comment, feedback or information you voluntarily provide to us will be deemed as non-confidential unless you specifically stipulate that it should be confidential.

Lawful Disclosure

It may be necessary, if required by law or if pertinent to judicial or governmental investigations, to release your personally identifiable information.
