Re-certification

Our advanced evidence-based WABC credentials—CBC, CMBC® and ChBC®—have ongoing maintenance requirements that are designed to complement your business coaching practice as an opportunity for learning and growth.

Ongoing requirements

CBC, CMBC® and ChBC®

To provide ethically sound and expert guidance, professionals in all areas of practice must keep up to date on the latest research and evidence on how to effectively serve their clients’ needs. A clear professional development strategy allows business coaches to be relevant and innovative in providing the best possible expertise to their clients. As a holder of our advanced WABC credentials—CBC, CMBC and ChBC—there are two ongoing requirements to maintain your credential, designed to complement your business coaching practice as an opportunity for learning and growth.

Renew Your WABC Membership Every Year

You must renew your membership annually to remain in continuously good standing. Near your renewal date, you will receive a reminder email from WABC to renew your membership. Renewal fees apply.

Re-certify Your WABC Credential Every 5 Years

You must submit and pass your Professional Development Record (PDR) five years after the date you graduate from your WABC Accredited® program, and every five years after that.

The WABC PDR provides you a significant professional development milestone through a structured set of exercises to help you demonstrate your learning and support your ongoing professional development. You will receive periodic reminders from WABC to help keep you on track. PDR review fees apply.
