WABC Accredited (Level 2 – Leader-as-Coach) global mark is a program accreditation distinction that ensures you’re offering the most comprehensive and robust leader-as-coach training available in the world.
This level is for programs that develop leaders-as-coaches at certified-level.
The WABC Accredited global mark is a program accreditation distinction that ensures you’re offering the most comprehensive and robust leader-as-coach training available in the world.
Level 2 – Leader-as-Coach programs develop leaders-as-coaches at certified-level who represent many professional roles (e.g., leader, manager, supervisor). Such programs focus on developing core coaching skills within the context of a leadership role and are for participants who either have had little or no previous experience with coaching, or who already have some leader-as-coach coaching experience that they now wish to consolidate fully with best practice. We identify practice in this context to be the application of coaching skills, with appropriate recognition of the imbalance of power held by them and individual team members, with the goal of supporting the development and empowerment of others and improving performance in the delivery of strategic business and organizational goals and objectives.
When you successfully complete the WABC Program Accreditation Process, your program receives the prestigious WABC Accredited (Level 2 – Leader-as-Coach) mark.
Your participation in our rigorous program accreditation process engages you in a continuous lifecycle—from initial accreditation to annual monitoring to re-accreditation every three years to ensure you deliver the highest, most relevant training to leaders-as-coaches today and tomorrow.
WABC welcomes applications from providers whose programs embrace a range of educational learning and assessment methods
WABC Accredited (Level 2 – Leader-as-Coach) Programs develop leaders-as-coaches at certified-level and are delivered at a professional level of engagement.
As such, this level of program accreditation is only available to training programs that offer leader-as-coach coaching as the main focus of their curriculum. This means 100% of the learning hours within the program must be focused on the practice, theory and/or research of leader-as-coach coaching.
WABC offers program accreditation to acknowledge and reward excellence in training and development in leader-as-coach coaching. Your route to achieve WABC Accredited is via our program accreditation process developed to enhance the confidence of all stakeholders by providing transparent scrutiny of programs against robust and reliable principles and standards.
Accreditation of training provision is a critical benchmarking process for everyone interested in developing sound practice in training and research in leader-as-coach coaching.
The WABC Program Accreditation Process route to achieving these standards and principles is, however, not prescribed, and WABC welcomes applications from providers whose programs embrace a range of educational learning and assessment methods. The principle of equivalence is used to consider their “fitness for purpose” and to determine if they achieve appropriate outcomes consistently.
Even if your program is brand new, or requires significant changes to meet WABC’s standards, you’ll most likely be eligible to register in our WABC Program Accreditation Process.
*Some variability expected based on participants’ experience-level and your program’s approach

Accreditation is a voluntary process by which a nongovernmental body publicly recognizes an institution or program that has successfully met predetermined qualifications through initial and follow-up evaluations.
Yes! WABC understands the critical need to provide guidelines and principles around best practice to combat accreditation mills, substandard or no academic and quality assurance, and other fraudulent market activity.
With this in mind, WABC continuously monitors other leading accreditation bodies in various established professional fields around the world to ensure its own practices are aligned with the very best and relevant in the marketplace today.
WABC offers program accreditation at many levels for both business coaching and leader-as-coach coaching programs. WABC does not offer institutional accreditation.
It is the most rigorous level of qualification available to programs by an external accreditor. Program accreditation processes that follow industry best practice ensure their accredited programs require validation, carry re-accreditation requirements and are subject to revocation. WABC Accredited adheres to these best practices.
WABC program accreditation focuses solely on programs dedicated to developing professional business coaches or leaders-as-coaches, not for programs that offer coaching as one part of the curriculum. This focus makes it different from accreditations offered by other bodies. To be eligible, your leader-as-coach program would need to meet this basic requirement:
The best time to enroll with us is as early as possible when creating your new program.
Some additional guidance:
Generally yes. Your pilot participants are eligible to receive their own WABC credential once they have successfully completed all your Program requirements (as specified by WABC) and met all WABC credential requirements within applicable deadlines.
At the beginning of your Accreditation Journey, we co-create your personalized time line, including target dates, to ensure you’re in control of what matters to you, while also preserving WABC’s commitment to provide you with a value-added, richly supported experience.
Factors influencing your time line may include:
Given WABC’s considered experience in offering this service, we offer providers a generous amount of time based on the level:
Yes, although you must plan to provide all your reporting requirements and an ongoing working relationship with WABC in English, as WABC and all program accreditation team members operate using English.
If you don’t speak English, please plan accordingly. You must have one member of your team who has an English language qualification and can easily communicate with your adviser in English. Your submission must also be in English.
We do not require WABC-conducted examinations for WABC Accredited Programs’ graduates to gain their own WABC credentials. We intentionally set up the program accreditation requirements so that WABC Accredited Program providers must provide the final assessment.
This approach provides an appropriate level of independence between the program providers and WABC, so that WABC has no undue influence on graduate assessment decisions.
Our rigorous program accreditation process ensures that the provider’s assessment is appropriate, and our annual monitoring safeguards the provider’s training provision over the accreditation lifecycle.
Our WABC Accredited levels – rooted in real-world organizational and business needs – cover both breadth and depth of development in leader-as-coach coaching. Becoming WABC Accredited will take your open enrollment program to the next level or enhance your internal program’s relevance.

Our company is thrilled to be the first in the world to achieve the WABC Accredited® mark for our two leader-as-coach programs, The Blueprint: How to Lead with a Coach Approach and The Blueprint: How to Lead with a Coach Approach – Credential Edition. What we witnessed from the leaders was profound – they quickly grew more self-aware, confident and resilient, and were able to navigate complexity with clarity, purpose and a renewed sense of possibility. And as leaders, they turned their learning into meaningful action—elevating the people around them, sparking trust, deepening accountability and lifting the well-being and performance of their teams.
What makes these programs exceptional is their foundation. They are built on WABC’s evidence-based competencies and global standards, grounded in decades of research and shaped by real-world coaching and leadership practice.
Any participant will tell you—the transformation is undeniable. They leave not only equipped to accelerate their careers but grounded in a deeper understanding of themselves and empowered to lift others, strengthen their teams and lead with confidence and impact in today’s rapidly evolving professional environments.
We serve a diverse and fast-evolving leadership landscape in Singapore, where organizations are navigating new expectations for collaboration, resilience, and human-centered leadership. For years, I had been designing and delivering coaching interventions that helped leaders grow in these areas. As demand increased, it became clear that our program needed the kind of structure, quality assurance, and global legitimacy that only a respected global accreditation body could provide.
WABC’s reputation for rigorous professional standards and its grounding in evidence-based business coaching made it the natural partner for us. Their framework aligned well with the needs of the leaders we support—who operate in complex, multicultural environments and require practical, applicable coaching skills that strengthen their ability to think strategically, influence effectively, and build meaningful relationships across their teams.
Going through the WABC Program Accreditation Process was an unexpectedly rewarding experience. The WABC Accreditation Team was kind, responsive, thoughtful and genuinely invested in helping us bring out the best in our program. Their guidance pushed us to articulate our intentions more clearly, refine our content, and design a learning journey that would set leaders up for fundamental behavioral shifts. The process helped us strengthen both the depth and the discipline of our approach.
Earning the WABC Accredited® mark has elevated our work in multiple ways. Leaders now experience a more intentional, structured coaching methodology, and they appreciate that their learning aligns with a globally recognized professional standard. The accreditation has also offered our participants a pathway to pursue the Registered Corporate Coach™ (RCC™) credential, which they have found motivating and meaningful for their professional development.
For us as a program provider, the accreditation has brought clarity, credibility and renewed purpose. It reinforced our belief that coaching can play a pivotal role in shaping future-ready leadership in Singapore and provided the solid foundation for continued growth.
We are proud to partner with WABC—not only for the recognition, but for the learning, support and global perspective that have strengthened the way we serve leaders and organizations. The accreditation has set a strong trajectory for our program, and we look forward to expanding its impact in the years ahead.
Weplusnetwork Ltd is an Italian association of executive consultants and coaches, experts in developing leaders, managers and other talented professionals within organizations. We have solid experience in designing and delivering business coach training programs, and many of our faculty trainers hold WABC credentials and memberships.
With companies’ growing interest in reinforcing coaching competencies for managers, HR professionals and entrepreneurs, we designed a short but intensive program for senior professionals and managers interested in gaining a better understanding of how business coaching can improve effectiveness within their organizations.
We have operated as a Business Coaching Training School since 2013, and received the WABC Accredited (Level 1 – RCC)® credential in 2015. WABC recognition has been a distinctive mark for our training offers, and our alumni have enjoyed being part of an international cohort that acknowledges WABC evidence-based competencies and professional standards for business coaching.
Many HR professionals and managers of large, multinational or Italian companies have chosen our school because we could offer a credentialing path with special attention to organizational and business needs for people development paths.
In 2020 we successfully achieved the “re-accreditation” of our Business Coaching Lab program. We also plan to additionally pursue the WABC Accredited (Level 2 – CBC)® distinction in 2021. This choice is not rooted only in market issues, but also in the “professional growth” that WABC can offer to WABC Accredited® programs. The WABC re-accreditation process allowed us to systematize and enrich training content offered to delegates, and to confer with senior WABC Accredited® advisers during the process. WABC proves very helpful to keep our programs up to date, distinctive and reinforced with global best practices.
We can attest to the value WABC provides for both training participants and training providers.
WABC’s clear focus on business coaching is the reason why we decided to choose them as our accreditor for our Shift Corporate Coach Program. Our clients are business leaders, corporate coaches and HR professionals who appreciate the merit and significant credibility that the WABC Accredited® mark brings to our program. Our clients value the extremely high standards WABC sets to ensure that our program is top notch. WABC’s founder, Wendy Johnson, and the WABC Program Accreditation Team have continually supported us as we grow. Their guidance and support have been invaluable and exceeded all expectations.
WABC Accredited global mark is a distinction that ensures you’re offering the most comprehensive and robust leader-as-coach training available in the world.
