Chartered Business Coach – as the first-ever chartered status for professional business coaches – is the industry’s most coveted, world-class distinction. Designed for those being among the best of the best in our profession worldwide, they possess elite-level expertise, specialized knowledge, coaching skills and professional competence.
WABC offers a suite of rigorous, evidence-based credentials for professional business coaches at four levels. Chartered Business Coach (ChBC) is WABC’s forth and highest level, held by business coaches all over the world.
Those holding ChBC represent a wide array of professional roles – leaders, internal and external business coaches – and support the highest levels of leadership, by applying a wide range of business coaching initiatives and activities to tackle complex business and organizational challenges across a wide diversity of contexts and open agendas, the outcomes of which may be unpredictable. Furthermore, at this highest level of professional practice, they’re able to exercise substantial personal autonomy along with their significant influence, leadership and contribution within businesses, organizations and the profession. Being a ChBC means they can provide a substantial professional offering for transformative impacts!
To earn ChBC, holders successfully completed either a WABC Accredited (Level 4 – ChBC)® Program or WABC Portfolio Pathway.
The WABC Business Coaching Competencies is the first-ever, global association-sponsored evidence-based professional competencies that define business coaching as a distinct discipline. This list of competencies covers an impressive breadth and depth of professional practice and is applied (at the appropriate level) to specified WABC Credentials (RCC™, CBC™, CMBC®, ChBC®) and WABC Accredited® marks for business coach training programs.
The WABC Professional Standards for Business Coaches is the first-ever, global association-sponsored evidence-based professional standards for business coaches. These professional standards describe the practice of business coaches: what we do and don’t do. All WABC Members must adhere to them. These standards also help clients, their sponsors, organizations and anyone interested in our profession understand what to expect from business coaching.
The WABC Code of Business Coaching Ethics and Integrity embodies the highest ethical standards and includes our Principles and our Safe Harbor Conciliation and Adjudication Process. It’s one of the most advanced and comprehensive codes of its kind in the world today, and is one of the key differences that set WABC business coaches apart from other kinds of coaches. All WABC Members must adhere to this Code. This Code also educates the public and helps clients and their sponsors and organizations understand what to expect from their business coaches.
As the industry leader since 1997, the Worldwide Association of Business Coaches (WABC) drives business coaching excellence with robust, evidence-based practices.
We support leaders, coaches, clients and companies with the knowledge, skills and resources to successfully navigate complexity and improve individual and operational performance alike.
