The WABC Accredited® global mark is a program accreditation distinction that ensures business coach training programs offer the most comprehensive and robust training available in the world. For those seeking training that readies them for real-world business and organizational challenges, no other program distinction compares.
We offer many WABC Accredited levels for maximum training impact – rooted in real-world organizational and business needs – that cover a wide breadth and depth of development in professional business coaching. WABC Accredited (Level 1 – RCC)® is our first level of accreditation for business coach training programs.
Level 1 – RCC programs develop professional business coaches at practitioner-level who represent many professional roles (e.g., leader, manager, internal or external business coach, external consultant). Such programs focus on developing the practice elements of business coaching and are for participants who either have had little or no previous business coaching experience, or who already have some business coaching experience that they now wish to consolidate fully with best practice. We identify practice in this context to be the application of technical skills within common business and organizational scenarios to support clients, co-workers and organizations. Accordingly, business coaches at this practitioner-level are expected to provide business coaching to a fixed agenda that is directly related to business and organizational outcomes.
Graduates of these programs are eligible to earn WABC’s Registered Corporate Coach™ (RCC™) credential. The credential is granted by WABC.
The WABC Business Coaching Competencies is the first-ever, global association-sponsored evidence-based professional competencies that define business coaching as a distinct discipline. This list of competencies covers an impressive breadth and depth of professional practice and is applied (at the appropriate level) to specified WABC Credentials (RCC™, CBC™, CMBC®, ChBC®) and WABC Accredited® marks for business coach training programs.
The WABC Professional Standards for Business Coaches is the first-ever, global association-sponsored evidence-based professional standards for business coaches. These professional standards describe the practice of business coaches: what we do and don’t do. All WABC Members must adhere to them. These standards also help clients, their sponsors, organizations and anyone interested in our profession understand what to expect from business coaching.
The WABC Code of Business Coaching Ethics and Integrity embodies the highest ethical standards and includes our Principles and our Safe Harbor Conciliation and Adjudication Process. It’s one of the most advanced and comprehensive codes of its kind in the world today, and is one of the key differences that set WABC business coaches apart from other kinds of coaches. All WABC Members must adhere to this Code. This Code also educates the public and helps clients and their sponsors and organizations understand what to expect from their business coaches.
As the industry leader since 1997, the Worldwide Association of Business Coaches (WABC) drives business coaching excellence with robust, evidence-based practices.
We support leaders, coaches, clients and companies with the knowledge, skills and resources to successfully navigate complexity and improve individual and operational performance alike.
